ARK ASA vs ASE cheats: do you need both?
TL;DR
If you play both ARK games, yes. ASA runs on UE5; ASE runs on UE4 — different offsets, different view matrix, different anti-cheat surface. One license can't cover both, which is why we sell them as separate products.

Every week someone asks if their ASA license works on ASE, or vice versa. The short answer is no, and the reason is below.
Different engines, different everything
Survival Evolved launched in Early Access in 2015 (1.0 in 2017) on Unreal Engine 4. Survival Ascended is a ground-up rewrite on UE5 — Lumen, Nanite, new physics. Same franchise and gameplay loop, totally separate codebases.
What that means for cheats:
- Memory offsets don't transfer. Player position, health, inventory, dino state — they live at different addresses between UE4 and UE5. An ESP that knows where to look in ASE has no idea where to look in ASA.
- The view math differs. Each engine uses its own formula to turn the 3D world into 2D pixels on your screen. An ESP built for UE4 would draw boxes in the wrong spots on UE5.
- Anti-cheat hooks differ. UE5 ships different rendering paths; anything that touches them has to be rewritten.
Same feature list — aimbot, ESP, no-clip, instant-tame, item ESP for raid prep — built twice, with separate test cycles and separate release trains.
Same anti-cheat, different population
Both games ship with BattlEye enabled by default. Server admins can disable it per server. So the AC itself is the same, but the population isn't.
ASA is the active title — most players sit on official servers where BattlEye is mandatory and admin tooling is more attentive. ASE has a much longer community-server tail, including unofficial PvE servers that disable BattlEye so mods load. So the practical detection surface depends entirely on the server.
Anecdotally, ASA detects faster on average. Newer engine, more active BattlEye iteration, stricter official-server population.
Why we don't bundle
Two builds, two release trains, two pricing decisions. Bundling would mean every ASE-only customer subsidizes ASA development, and vice versa. Right now they're maintained as two full products with separate teams behind each. If demand ever shifts, we'd revisit.
If you play both, you need both. Pricing is on /products; the live build state is on /status per game. The free spoofer covers both ARK versions if you get hardware-banned.
